This blog is dedicated to my creating images of people.
More of my work can be viewed at Rob Thomas Photography. I am available for commissions and would be pleased to hear from you to discuss your ideas and requirements.
Not technically a stranger, I've worked with Emma a few years ago. However, she called out of the blue to ask for some portrait and 'image' photographs for her acting portfolio.
During my studies for an MA Photography I have been increasingly drawn to participative & collaborative photographic projects.
I am keen to explore what happens to me as a photographer when I produce images. In exploring my own reactions it became obvious that it would be very beneficial to my own development to look at how other people view a situation and produce their own images.
Included in this process are the people on the other side of the lens to the photographer, and the people who view the resulting photographs.
Questions! Questions! Questions!
This blog is to give an idea of what happens to my heart and mind when I use my eyes. By offering my perspective I hope that others will add their own perspective, whether photographers or not. Everyone has a camera. Their own eyes - their own mind - their own heart!
I also intend to speak through this blog on all aspects of visual communication. The pros and cons, the opportunities, the difficulties, the social and the anti social. Anything which captures my interest and imagination.
If anything grabs you're interest, it would be great to hear from you and gain an understanding of your perspective.
