On a very flat grey - leaden skies - day I looked for colours. Tom's yellow jacket stood out and the hat was great. He is Scottish, so i joked that this weather made him feel right at home. I asked the usual question and he agreed. Then he introduced me to Keira and 'Charley'. They were really nice. Happy to be photographed, and very proud of 'Charley' - a 12 week old Huskey.
I would have loved to have spent more time with them - I'm sure I would have some wonderful images. However, my own dog was needing attention, and my wife was finding the bitter wind too uncomfortable. Blackheath and Greenwich Park are likely to be a rich source of 'strangers'.
I am noticing it is easier to approach people who have dogs. Maybe because I love them, but also a dog introduces itself to you before anything is said - making the initial contact and breaking the ice.

Hi Rob - really enjoying your blog and the photos. I also enjoy reading what you write about the process you go through when taking them. Cheers, Nick
