The streets were so quiet tonight. I asked several people and it was 'No!' each time. Perhaps the dark really changes how people accept each other. Daylight helps people feel comfortable, or more comfortable, whereas darkness makes the inhibitions heighten.
Therefore the 'rules' were bent tonight. Near where I live a pharmacy was open late. Although I'd seen Arvinder, I'd not actually met him. The pharmacy was empty so I went in and asked my usual question. What a lovely response! Arvinder is very gently spoken and said a portrait would be fine. I managed to get the image I was after first go, and spent several minutes in conversation. It appears his cousin is a keen photographer, with the same camera I use. Arvinder may do some more photography himself one day - he's not made the move to digital yet. He was a 'Canon' man.
I thought I'd do both colour and black and white for this portrait.

Great portrait. Love the project with stranger people.
